This course is designed to teach you everything you need to know to enjoy cross coutnry skiing.  The course has 6 parts that includes 13 films.
 
The course will cover:
1. Benefits of Cross Country skiing, difference between Classic and Skate - gear needed for each, how to use it and other types of skiing. 
2. How to get skis and poles on, how to get up when you fall and how to slow down and stop.  What to wear, what to bring and how to manage energy.
3. How to wax Cross Country Skis 
4.  Classic skiing techniques: Diagonal Stride, Double Pole, Kick Double Pole, Herringbone. Drills for classic
5. Skate skiing techniques: V1, V2, V2 alternate, Herringbone.  Drills for skate skiing.
6. Exercises to prepare for Cross Country skiing and prevent injury.  How to recover!
 
The course is designed and taught by Anna Cox, PSIA certified Cross Country ski Coach with 25 years experience skiing / racing and 10 years of coaching.  Kathy Tate covers all the information for exercises to prepare for skiing, injury prevention and recovery.   Kathy is a doctor of physical therapy and board-certified orthopedic clinical specialist.
