Have you ever wanted to walk the paths where the ancient Anasazi lived over 2,000 years ago? Are you curious and want to explore cliff dwellings, arches, natural bridges, hoodoos, and spires? Does your heart skip a beat when you think of finding pictographs, petroglyphs, and pieces of broken painted pottery from the ancient Puebloans? It’s all possible in a fun and supportive women's weekend getaway! Join us March 21-23, 2024 in Blanding, Utah for a guided wilderness experience without tourists or paved walking trails. Experience the land's natural primitive state and learn about the ancient people and their culture. Leave the hustle and bustle of your busy lives behind and join us for winter hiking and an amazing girls' weekend in Cedar Mesa! Ignite guides will be staying at the Stone Lizard Lodge in Blanding, Utah. It is a charming boutique hotel with an amazing breakfast included each morning! There are plenty of wonderful accommodations in Blanding. Make sure to book early, as this is the beginning of tourist season in Blanding! We will begin our adventure at the Stone Lizard Lodge in Blanding, on Thursday afternoon at 1 pm. After an introduction to the lands we will explore, we will head out for an afternoon hike before returning for dinner and a relaxing evening! Friday and Saturday will be full of exploring ruins, caves, ancient panels, beautiful vistas, and more! What is included: 3 days of guided winter hiking and adventures, trailhead transport, and permits! What is not included: lodging, meals, transportation. The total trip hiking mileage is anticipated to be around 15 miles over 3 days. The hikes are rated easy-moderate. Six weeks before our trip, we will help you prepare with a hiking fitness training plan and lots of great pointers to help you succeed and have the best adventure possible! A mandatory Zoom meeting will be held on Sunday, March 10 at 8 pm. Registration is non-refundable; however, if circumstances prevent you from attending, we will issue a credit for a future event. This adventure is weather-permitting. With the proper winter hiking gear, there are many options for hiking in most weather conditions. However, we do reserve the right to cancel if weather conditions are hazardous. In the event of cancellation, your registration will be refunded.
